Why are air conditioners with a higher SEER number more expensive?Updated 9 months ago
SEER stands for "Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio."
Units with higher SEER ratings perform much more efficiently than those with lower SEER ratings. You will see a return on your investment within a year's time.
These units provide the same amount of cooling and heating but consume less power. I believe most power companies offer a rebate incentive for installing high-efficiency HVAC systems.
Please check with your city to see what the rebate will be.
